Woohoo it’s Easter, which means Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs Season!

For me, the excitement for Easter food starts and ends with Reese’s Eggs. So when I found I could make my own Chocolate Peanut Butter Eggs, I knew I just had to take on the culinary challenge this week. So Happy Easter to me, and if you’re a chocolate and peanut butter fan, then Happy Easter to you too!!

Truly one of my favorite combos is chocolate and peanut butter, so it’s no wonder that those amazing Reese’s peanut butter eggs coated in chocolate are a total weakness of mine. And now I’m in BIG trouble, because I’ve just found that I can make them myself…AND they taste seriously amazing!

I found this recipe on an appropriately-named blog called Chocolate-Covered Katie. Now Katie’s recipe involved making the eggs with sugar-free powdered sugar, which did sound interesting, but I decided to keep it simple. Essentially I used 4 ingredients that I nearly always have on hand…which means I’m really in trouble because I can make these whenever I want.

So what did I need…easy: Powdered Sugar, Peanut Butter, Salt, and Chocolate Chips. Mix the first 3 ingredients together to form the peanut butter egg centers. Then freeze them for an hour or so. Them melt the chocolate and coat the eggs in them. Let them sit and voila! I decided to keep mine in the freezer. Then when you’re ready let them sit out for a few minutes and bam! These tasted so crazy good and remarkably, they actually tasted like the eggs I’ve grown to love.

Trust me that you’ll want to throw these together for lovely snacks this weekend. All of your family and friends will be so thrilled you did. Click here for the recipe and step by step instructions. Enjoy!!

So what is your favorite Easter food or treat?!
