Jalapeno Cream Cheese Poppers — An Appetizer I Can Get Behind

I had an open house earlier this week to show off the new jewelry line for lia sophia. This was also just a great excuse to see my friends I hadn’t seen in a while, too. I was on the hunt for some delicious food. Looking back, maybe I had too much spicy food. But this Jalapeno Cream Cheese Popper recipe seemed too delicious and easy to overlook.

I was correct. Easy and also delicious. I love when I’m not filling my grocery cart with tons of ingredients for one recipe. These poppers required 3 things: Cream Cheese, a can of diced jalapenos, and one tube of refrigerator crescent rolls.

Aren’t you excited to learn of something else you can do with crescent rolls? They are delicious as is, but wow they were SO good in this recipe. And did I mention this dish was crazy easy?

Here’s what you do…set your cream cheese out on the counter for a while to soften it or soften it in the microwave. Then drain a small can of diced jalapenos, and you’ll only end up using about 1/2 of the can. Finally open your can of crescent rolls, unroll them and separate them lengthwise, so you have 2 long sheets of dough.

Then just combine the cream cheese and jalapenos, and spread the mixture over the crescent rolls and roll them like a cinnamon roll. Then cut them also as you would for a cinnamon roll, and bake them up for 11-13 minutes until they are lightly golden on top.

These poppers were not overly spicy and they were a hit. Seriously…there were none left. Gotta love that! I was a big fan of this simple appetizer and it’s perfect when you’re in a time crunch.

You’ll definitely want to click here for the recipe and step by step instructions.
