Step by Step Instructions:
This blondie recipe is a quick dish to bake up and requires the following ingredients to create a super decadent treat: 1/4 cup of melted butter (slightly cooled), 1 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of granulated sugar, Milk (I used skim), Baking powder, Creamy Peanut Butter, Salt, Cooking Spray, Vanilla extract (or my favorite vanilla bean paste), semi-sweet chocolate chips, 2 eggs, 4 .75-ounce peanut butter cups.
In a large bowl, I added the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt…
…and stirred them together until well-combined.
Then I moved onto the wet ingredients 1/3 cup of creamy peanut butter, the melted butter, 2 tablespoons of milk, 1 teaspoon of vanilla bean paste, and the 2 large eggs that have been lightly beaten.
The mixture gets whisked together until it has also been thoroughly combined.
The peanut butter mixture is added to the dry ingredients and the batter is stirred until everything has been combined well.
Then 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips gets added and stirred in.
The batter is poured into a greased 8 or 9 inch pan. The recipe says 9 inch, but I used an 8 inch one and it worked great.
The peanut butter cups I got were smaller than the normal size, so I use six instead of four.
To avoid a colossal, sticky mess, I cut the candy up in the wrappings and it worked pretty well for me.
Then the chopped candy gets scattered over the top of the batter and baked for at least 19 minutes or until a wooden pick comes out of the center with moist crumbs on it. It took me a bit longer, but this probably because I used a glass pan that was 8-inches instead. Seriously though, doesn’t this look amazing?! Cool the bars completely, and then cut the bars to your desired size and enjoy! Yum!!
