Dried Strawberries

(Recipe can be found on the World Wide Gourmet site here.)

Step by Step Instructions:

All you need to have your own dried strawberries are: Salt, Pepper, and fresh Strawberries. That’s all! 🙂

Begin by pre-heating the oven to 210 degrees. Wash and dry as many strawberries as you choose. Then hull the strawberries. I don’t have a huller, so I just cut off the stems and then used a paring knife to cut away the white center.

I then cut the strawberries in half and places them cut-side up on a cookie sheet. I then seasoned the strawberries with salt and pepper.

Then the strawberries are dried out in the 210 degree oven for three hours. The strawberries can be eaten in lots of ways I’m sure. I think they’d be great on a salad, but I have to admit that I’ve yet to have enough left over to try them in anything because I can’t stop munching on them!

Ingredients:
Strawberries
Salt and Pepper

Preparation Instructions:
1. Halve or quarter the strawberries, depending on their size.

2. Place strawberries on a baking sheet and season with salt and pepper.

3. Dry in the oven for three hours at 100° C / 210° F.
