I was recently craving a “healthy” dessert…I know it’s an oxymoron, but I like my sweets. I was surrounded by Girl Scout cookies and was needing something to satisfy my sweet tooth but that wasn’t super sugary. It didn’t take long for me to whip up one of my go-to cookies that’s high on taste and low on sugar!
I had to share my favorite low sugar Peanut Butter and Chocolate cookie recipe that I turn to frequently. If you like peanut butter and you like chocolate, then preheat your oven cuz you’re going to need to bake these ASAP.
The recipe’s sugar content is lowered by using Splenda instead of sugar. In addition, unsweetened chocolate is used in place of the standard milk chocolate chips.
A couple of years ago, I was perusing Splenda’s website and came across this cookie recipe and my curiosity was piqued. Click here to see the recipes and nutrition info. One thing to note that one cookie is considered a serving.
These cookies are even better the day after you bake them, so feel free to bake them ahead of time and store them in a air-tight container for maximum enjoyment. Happy baking!
