Pepperoni Pizza Rolls

(Recipe can be found at the Tidy Mom site here.)
Step by Step Instructions:

It doesn’t take many ingredients to make these pepperoni pizza rolls in no time: Shredded cheese (I used an Italian-style blend, but you play with your favorites…I wanted something that would melt well), Garlic Salt, Italian Seasonings, Grated Parmesan Cheese, Flour (just for rolling out the crust), 2 refrigerated pizza crusts, 1 cup of sliced, chopped pepperoni (I used a turkey pepperoni), and your favorite pasta sauce for dipping.

I started off by first preheating my oven to 425 and then flouring my work surface with a little flour. Then I opened both containers for the pizza crust and laid them out on the counter.

I then rolled out each crust trying to get as even a rectangular shape as I could for both of the crusts.

Now it’s time to put the pizza rolls together. I sprinkled garlic salt and Italian seasonings over each crust.

Then I sprinkled 1 cup of shredded cheese across both crusts, followed by 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese over the crusts, and then evenly distributed 1 cup of chopped pepperoni over both pizzas.

Then I tightly rolled each pizza like you would cinnamon rolls or a tortilla rollup. You want to roll the short end of the pizza to the other short end as you can see above.

Then slice the rolls into about 1-inch slices as seen in this photo.

Then I lined 2 cookie sheets with a Silpat – seriously these are so handy in the kitchen. Then place the slices from one roll on one cookie sheet and then do the same with the other slices. I came out with about 24 rolls I’d say.

Then bake for 10-12 minutes until the rolls are lightly golden. They smelled amazing!

Place them on a wire cooling rack so they stop cooking. I served mine with some reduced sugar tomato basil pasta sauce, and if you warm up the pasta sauce, and then serve the warm rolls, you are going to have a hit on your hands. These were so yummy all warm and dipped in the marinara sauce. Wow!

Ingredients:
2 cans refrigerated pizza crust
garlic salt
Italian Seasoning
1 cup sliced and chopped pepperoni
1 cup shredded cheese (we used Provolone and Pepper Jack)
1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
Your favorite pasta sauce for dipping

Preparation Instructions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

2. Dust your work surface with a little flour and roll out each pizza crust.

3. Sprinkle each crust with garlic salt and Italian seasoning.

4. Top with shredded cheeses and grated Parmesan cheese along with the pepperoni.

5. Beginning with one of the short ends of the pizza, roll the crust into a tight log.

6. Slice into 1-inch sections.

7. Place each roll on a lined cookie sheet (lined with either a Silpat or parchment paper) and bake for 10-12 mins.

8. Serve with your favorite pasta sauce for dipping.
