Light of my Reading Life

This week I have started reading the book The Shack by William P. Young. It’s a book with real, live pages that I have to turn as opposed to being an ebook that I would read on my Kindle.

The past two days have made me really appreciate my Kindle even more. I haven’t read anything other than an ebook on my Kindle for at least a year and a half, so I was reminded how much I love my eReader. Page turning has been hard to adjust to rather than just pushing a button while I’m lying in bed reading. (I’m not being lazy, it’s just not nearly as convenient…seriously.)

The other thing I really miss right now is the lighted cover that I use in conjunction with my K3. I’m highlighting this product, because it is amazing. The cover I own comes in a variety of colors, and is created by Amazon, specifically for the Kindle. It runs off of the batteries of the Kindle, and I must say that I haven’t noticed it using up much of the battery life at all.

Inside of Cover with Light on (Note that no flash is being used with the camera.)With my Kindle 2, I had a really gorgeous leather cover for it, and I planned to get a new one for my Kindle 3 for Christmas. But all of that changed as soon as I started using this lighted cover. It’s so handy, because you never have to worry about having enough of a light source to read. You can read anywhere and everywhere.

Close up of lighted Kindle when it is daytime and no flash is being used. You can still it still lights the screen up well in the daytime. If you have a Kindle 3, I highly recommend this product. If you’re thinking of purchasing one and are looking at a cover for the eReader, then check this one out. Click on the link below to take you to the Amazon page to learn more. You won’t regret buying this product…I promise! Happy Reading!!
