Creamy Pesto Three Cheese Tortellini with Chicken

Step by Step Instructions:


Creamy Pesto Three Cheese Tortellini with Chicken will be on the table in no time with these ingredients: A bag of 3-cheese Tortellini, 2 cups of cooked Chicken diced up, 2 tablespoons of Butter, a clove of minced Garlic, Milk (Almond Milk worked great here), a can of Cream of Chicken Soup, and jarred Pesto sauce.


Begin by bringing a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package’s instructions…10 minutes in this case.


Once the pasta gets going, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large sauce pan over medium heat.


Add the chicken to the butter and stir it around for about 2 minutes.


To the chicken add the can of cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of pesto, and one minced garlic clove.


Combine the sauce and then turn the heat down to low and let it simmer until the pasta is finished.


I used my handy dandy spider utensil to remove the pasta from the water and add it to my pan with the creamy pesto chicken sauce.


Carefully combine the pasta and let it simmer for another minute. Then serve it up and enjoy!! Happy simmering!


Ingredients:
1 bag Barilla® Three Cheese Tortellini
2 tablespoons butter
2 cups cooked chicken
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 cup pesto sauce
1/2 cup milk
1 clove minced garlic

Preparation Instructions:
1. Start off by getting the tortellini cooked. Follow the package’s directions. I used a large stock pot and cooked the pasta for 10 minutes.

2. As the pasta is cooking, melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large sauce pan over medium heat. Add the chicken to the melted butter and stir it for about 2 minutes to heat the chicken through.

3. To the chicken add in a can of cream of chicken soup, 1/2 cup of pesto sauce, 1/2 cup of milk, and a clove of minced garlic. Stir it together and turn the heat to low and let it simmer until the pasta is finished cooking.

4. Using a slotted spoon or spider, transfer the cooked tortellini to the sauce pan. Carefully toss the pasta and the chicken mixture and allow the pasta to simmer for 1 more minute. Then serve the pasta immediately and enjoy!
