A little more about me: I grew up on a farm in the Midwest and after college I found myself living in gorgeous London, England where I got my Masters degree in Art History…not exactly your typical farm girl, I suppose. These days I reside in the suburbs and after several years of living in the cubicle world and working purely to make ends meet, I’ve found that it’s easy to lose sight of what you love.  My love for food, fashion, art and theatre, movies, photography, books, (you get the picture) have propelled me to start a blog chronicling my journey to rediscover my passions.

Originally my goal with this blog was to go on a culinary adventure by tackling dishes I love to eat when dining out or to cook with foods that I’ve grown to love but have never really taken the time to work with and perfect.  For the past few years, I’ve wanted to expand on my cooking repertoire but I could never justify doing so – until now! Over the past couple of years I’ve morphed my culinary adventures into trying any and every recipe that comes along that looks delicious.

In addition to these cooking escapades, I also want to provide recommendations for my favorite cooking gadgets, books, movies, art topics, etc…pretty much whatever I am loving at the moment.

You’ll also find lots of “featured” jewelry as my blog continues. I have been an advisor with lia sophia since August 2011 and it has become an amazing adventure. My growing collection is packed full of pieces that I love, so I figured why not highlight some of my favorites along the way. Maybe they will become a favorite of yours too!

My hope is that I can inspire people to tackle those projects (cooking or not) that they have always wanted to attempt, share and receive tips, and even come across some cool products that they cannot live without.  I hope you enjoy!
